Cannot enter product key

I bought Microsoft Outlook 2007 (Vista PC). During installation it asks for
the product key. When I try to enter it, I cannot enter a 1 or 5. I've tried
entering i or I or other things, but I can't get it to take anything. I'm at
my wits end here. Help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Why can't you enter a "1" or a "5"?
What happens when you try?
Can you type it in other applications?
Switch keyboards and try again.

From where are you taking the product key to enter. From the number on the computer
case or the product number that came with your Office 2007 CD that is included with
the packaging
