Open the file in safe mode, if it works then you need to upgrade your printer driver.
Publisher is critical about printers.

Would this work even though I didn't change or add
anything for quite awhile????
I did however have a few virus I had to deal with lately.
Thanks for your reply

Did you try opening the Publisher document in safe mode? Did it open?

The driver could be corrupt. Completely uninstall the driver and re-install the one
you have on your setup disk if it was working okay previously.

Are you sure you've eliminated all of your viral issues? start Mom mode
And why aren't you running a current anti-virus? stop Mom mode

Even those who run current anti-virus software can get hit.
It takes a while for them to discover the virus and write the definitions to
catch it

I guess the part that got me was the "I did however have a few virus I had
to deal with lately". Specifically the word "few". Too many people don't
keep their anti-virus current. I can't tell you how many people I've talked
to about this and they proudly respond by telling me their 3/4/5 year old
computer came with an anit-virus program.

One woman asked if I knew that Norton was creating the viruses. Shewas
paranoid beyond all belief and got pi$$y with me when I asked her why she
got a computer if she was so afraid of viruses.
