"connection to server has failed"?
This comes up when I try to check my email: The connection to the server has
failed. Account: 'pop.NAMEOFWEBSITE.com', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E Does any one know how I can fix this? |

"connection to server has failed"?
This is usually caused by scanning e-mail, or an anti-spam program.
Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see: http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 Now, go to Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and change the server setting of 127.0.0.1 back to what it should be. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "gh" wrote in message ...
