Default "Command Failed To Execute" in OE6

Hi,
I am running Win XP SP2 with OE6 as my email. I have ALL of the latest
Windows updates and am having the following problem.

When I get an attachment, whether it is a photo or doucument and I try to
click on the attachment to OPEN it, I get the message that the "Command
Failed To Execute" and of course then, I cannot open it.

I have checked the SECURITY settings in the options and BOTH of the check
boxes that could keep attachments from being seen are UNCHECKED"/

Is there something that I can do to eliminate this situation OR is there a
way to re-install just the Internet Explorer and OE6 in SP2 without having to
re-install SP2?
--
Thanks in advance for your help...

Hi Larry,

This is an error I'm not familiar with, but there is an older Microsoft KB
article that has OE 5.5 and earlier versions in the "applies to" section.
The solution may or may not fit your issue. A first try would be to delete
temporary Internet files under Internet Options (IE Tools, Internet
Options -- or Control Panel).
