Same text width in Landscape and Portrait
Hi,
I'm having a very strange behavior in Word: if I create a new section with a page break in one of my documents, and I change this new section to landscape, it keeps the same text width as in the portrait orientation (text boundaries do not expand according to the new orientation). Still, margins are correct, and the left margin is definitely not as wide of the space between the left text boundary and the left border of the page. I have this problem in a document created in Word 97, both in Word 97 and XP. However, I can't reproduce it with a document created in Word WP. Thanks in advance for your help. Raph |

Same text width in Landscape and Portrait
Maybe the document is formatted with either a line break (SHIFT+ENTER)
or a paragraph break (ENTER) after each line of text? Click the ¶ button on the Standard toolbar, which displays nonprinting characters. What displays after each line of text? If it is the paragraph mark (¶) then each line is formatted as a single paragraph; if it's an arrow, then each line is formatted with a line break. For more information about getting rid of these, see: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm For more information about nonprinting characters, see: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm -- Stefan Blom "Raphael Goubet" skrev i meddelandet om...
