Office 2003 not being removed
I have installed office 2003 with a GPO and a custom MST file. The only thing
in that MST is the it doesn't install Publisher. I am uninstalling Office 2003 by disassociating the the computer object with the GPO. I watch Office 2003 being removed. However office still shows up in add and remove programs and if a user has a program shortcut on thier desktop for one of the office 2003 products and they activate the shortcut, it reinstalls that product. 1. How do I get office to be removed completely? 2. If there are pieces that are left, how do I get the shortcut to stop reinstalling the product? |

Office 2003 not being removed
I am having the same problem. I had to reload Vista on my computer due to
other issues. I then installed Office for Students 2003 all was well until I went to configure my emails and I unfortunately entered the incorrect information so I could not get Office to open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office again but I get the same problem. All the other programs in Office work except for Outlook. I tried repairing Office but that did not work. i tried restoring to an earlier time but that date was not available to me. I called Dell to help me but after 2 hours on the computer remotely I gave up and had to go to bed. I called again yesterday and now they waived the $49 fee but now will fix it for $129!! I told them I could fix it for free if I started over and reinstalled Vista again and started from scratch. Is that my only solution?
