Default Office XP on a dual-boot computer?

I've got a Win98SE laptop with Office XP installed. I'm considering making
the system a dual-boot machine by adding Windows2000.

Will I be able to install and activate Office XP with the same CD &
activation key?

If Both Versions of Windows Are on the Same Partition
If both versions of Windows are on the same partition ( with the same drive
letter), you are running both operating systems in a nonsupported
configuration. Windows may be erratic. You must reinstall the operating
systems on separate partitions.

If Each Version of Windows Is on a Separate Partition, and FAT16 Is Used
for Both Partitions
To install Office if each version of Windows is on a separate partition and
FAT16 is used for both partitions, follow these steps:
Start Windows (either version), and then run the Setup.exe file on the root
of the Office CD to install Office.
Restart the computer if prompted by Office Setup, and then start the same
version of Windows that you started in step 1.

This allows Office Setup to complete its installation.
Start the other version of Windows, and then install Office to the same
path as step 1. To do this, run the Setup.exe file on the root of the
Office CD.
Restart the computer if prompted by Office Setup, and then start the same
version of Windows that you started in step 3.

This allows Office Setup to complete its installation.
NOTE: Office Setup installs Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 to the \Program
Files\Internet Explorer folder of the operating system drive by default.
This is the recommended installation method for Internet Explorer 5.

of the following conditions is true, because each of these partition
formats is incompatible with the other operating system:
Windows 98 is installed on a FAT32 partition.

supported by that operating system.
Restart the computer if prompted by Office Setup, and then start the same
version of Windows that you started in step 1.
