Default Outlook 2003 Crashes receiving and sending email

Hello

I have been using office 2003 for several months, but over the last few
weeks I have been having a problem with outlook crashing intermitantly when
sending and receiving certain emails.
I get the report error to microsoft pop up eash time.
I have taken a number of steps to try and locate the exact cause of the
problem, but have so far not found the exact cause and therefore cannot
solve the problem.
I firstly installed Sp2
Then un-installed ella spam control plug in for outlook
Then created a new .pst file, only copying over contacts
Then un-installed office 2003, ran a reg cleaner and then re-installed
office 2003.
Then turned off junk mail filters in outlook.
None of the above worked.
It was crashing only with HTML emails, but it has also crashed sending plain
text emails.
I am now using outlook express, because outlook is un-useable in its current
state.
Please can anyone out there maybe offer any more advise on what i can try to
resolve?
thanks

kieren

Try a new mail profile after you run scanpst.exe against your .pst file.
Configure the new profile to reuse your current .pst file.

ok
I ran scanpst.exe against the original .pst file I was using, and it
repaired some errors
I then deleted and created a totally new profile with a new name
the only thing i wasnt sure if I did correctly was configure the new
profile to use current .pst
what i did was import contacts, mail etc from current .pst into the new .pst
I wasnt sure if this was correct?
Unfortunately the problem remains... a few emails arrived ok, but when i
tried to forward a basic plain text email to one of my contacts it crashed
again!!
Could this be because i did not configure profile correctly?

thanks
kieren
