Outlook 2003 is allowing me to receive, but not send messages.
I've checked and double checked my email account settings and they are
correct. I've tried sending using Outlook express, and it works fine. Any suggestions? |

Outlook 2003 is allowing me to receive, but not send messages.
Hi.
I've experienced the same problem but i managed to resolve it. Do you: Have Office 2003 Small Business ? ADSL line? Cisco 877 or similar modem? When all this things combine i can receive pop3 but the smtp doesn't go out. Solution: Change the router MTU PS: Please answer all my questions because i'm trying to figure out the problem. I hope this helps. "DanM" wrote: I've checked and double checked my email account settings and they are correct. I've tried sending using Outlook express, and it works fine. Any suggestions? |

I don't get any error messages. The messages I attempt to send remain in the
Outbox. "Brian Tillman" wrote: DanM wrote: I've checked and double checked my email account settings and they are correct. I've tried sending using Outlook express, and it works fine. I have Office 2003 Pro, ADSL, and I don't know what modem but I don't think
it's Cisco. "PTavares" wrote: Hi. I've experienced the same problem but i managed to resolve it. Do you: Have Office 2003 Small Business ? ADSL line? Cisco 877 or similar modem? Outlook 2003 is allowing me to receive, but not send messages.
Well, in my case was a different scenario, because I only had problems with
the Small Business version, in the Professional edition and in Outllok Express I was able to send and receive e-mails without problems. Anyway, later when I was trying to resolve y problem I read something about apllying the latest Office Service Pack, try that.
