Default Determing the current selection in Outlook (Folder or Mail)

Hello
I am struggling for the past few days to find a way to determine whether a
folder of mail is selected in the Outlook. I am having an Outlook add-in
which does some work if a mail is selected. If a folder is selected I need to
do something else. Can anyone else. I tried a lot searching the groups and
Google, but didn't succeed. Please help.
Regards
Renjith
