Default Editing interval format to MMM format vs. full month

Some time over the last year, whenever trying to edit the interval format,
the only option is full month spelling... however in the past, it took the
form of MMM (i.e. Feb vs. February).

How can I get the formatting to show "Feb" instead of "February"?

I have already tried going into the control panel and looking at the date
options there... but all I can modify there are short vs. long format for
dates - - not the desired effect in Visio.

menu Timeline - Change Date/Time Formats
set the interval to the 12-May-10 format

or edit the shape's shapesheet
select the shape, menu Window - Shapesheet
in section User-defined cells find cell User.IntmMask
and set it to "{{d-MMM-yy}}"
or whatever you need.
