Stop automatically creating hyperlinks
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to stop the automatic creation of hyperlinks in Excel 2007? I have a user who keeps track of a contact list, which includes email addresses. When a new email address is added, we would like the text to *not* automatically be turned into a hyperlink, and to maintain the formatting applied to the column. As is, the address is typed, it is automatically turned into a blue hyperlink - we remove the link, and then have to reformat the cell to match the cells above it. We right click the cell and remove the hyperlink, and then just copy the formatting only from the cell above, but those are two steps we'd like to eliminate, if possible. I looked at Excel Options, but nothing jumped out at me. Thanks for any suggestions! |
