"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses" message...
I have Office 2002 Pro running on Windows XP. I have recently updated my
Office package with all available updates and have noticed a new, annoying feature. Everytime I compose an e-mail I get the dialog box that states "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?". Is this a normal part of the security update, and if so, is there any way I can disable it? Thanks in advance, Ian |

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, I don't find anything in the
suggested list that I am using on my machine. The only thing that comes to mind is that I am using Word to compose my e-mails. Assuming Word is the "program trying to access e-mail addresses" would you know what I need to do to stop the dialog box from coming up? Thanks again, Ian "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... Word will not cause that warning. Did you read the information about the =
Acrobat add-in? The link that Sue provided had another link to it for a program called
Advanced Outlook Security that will allow you to always allow/deny access to specific programs that are trying to access Outlook.
