Deleting values in a field in a table with several fields
Jerry,
Thanks for your help. I place the button on my form which is a continous form. When I click the button with the code you suggested it deleted the first record but there are about 15 records that have been inputed and the values still show. If I close this form and open it again the values do dissapear. Is there a way to requery this form so that all values dissapear without having to close and reopen it? My query is called FrontDeskQuery. Thanks, -- Chuck W "Jerry Whittle" wrote: On the On Click event of the button on your form put the following code: DoCmd.SetWarnings False DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE FrontDesk SET FrontDesk.RetailSales = Null;" DoCmd.SetWarnings True -- Jerry Whittle Light. One of those fields is called RetailSales. Each week someone enters the information into this field using the form. What I would like to do is to delete the data from this field for all records but I don't want to delete the data in the other three fields. I would also like to place a button on the form next to where I input this data so that they can click the button and it will delete the data from this field. Can someone help? Thanks, -- Chuck W |
