Meeting Notice acceptance going to Large Personal Folder
Hello,
MS OUTLOOK 2003 on XP PRO. My problem is that meeting notices are going a calendar I didn't know existed in my LARGE PERSONAL FOLDERS instead of my server based calendar, where I operate. So I'm unaware of meetings... Very aggravating. It never used to do this under exactly the circumstances I am about to describe. I have rules set up to move emails from certain people to my LPF. So I get a meeting notice from BOB, it gets moved to LPF folder named BOB. I click ACCEPT on the meeting notice and it used to be added to my calendar (Server side, INBOX etc) and now it gets added to a calendar in LPF I didn't know existed. I don't want to ever putting meeting notices on the LPF calendar and I'd like to delete it if at all possible. Please let me know if you have any idea what is happening. FYI I believe that emails in my INBOX (SERVER SIDE) are being accepted on to my SERVER SIDE calendar. Thanks. -- BlueWolverine MSE - Mech. Eng. Go BLUE! |

Add an exception to your rules so they don't apply to meeting requests.

Meeting Notice acceptance going to Large Personal Folder
That sounds like an option, but it's really the mechanic's diagnosis, not the
engineer's isn't it? "The engine exploded, thus replace engine." - Mechanic "Why the heck did the engine explode and how can I prevent it in the future?" - Engineer It never used to do this. I could accept a meeting notice out of my large personal folders and it would go to my regular calendar every time. What changed so I can unchange it? Thanks, -- BlueWolverine MSE - Mech. Eng. Meeting Notice acceptance going to Large Personal Folder
SOLUTION:
Create a new PST file. Close your old pst file. Import the data from your old pst file. Delete your PST Calendar BEFORE you accept any meeting notices. This solves the problem and returns me to the original state. -- BlueWolverine MSE - Mech. Eng. Go BLUE! If outlook decides you need a calendar in the pst, it will create another
one. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: "BlueWolverine" wrote in message ...
