If I am in the wrong discussion, let me know. My OE is not responding, can't
get to my emails.

You're in the right place, but you need to be more specific than that. What
exactly happens and when? If you get any error messages, post then verbatim.

It happened overnight, no problems yesterday, I double clicked on my outlook
express icon this morning and the screen came up. On the bottom on the screen
it said connecting but it never did, so I tried to close the page and it said
not responding and then it said me to end now to cancel the page.

General OE Caveats:

- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.

- Frequently perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working
offline". More at http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm

- Do not cancel Automatic Compacting, should it occur, and do not attempt to
close OE via Task Manager or shutdown your machine if Automatic Compacting
is taking place.

- Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It can cause
corruption (i.e., loss of messages) and provides no additional protection:

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email

If you haven't yet, reboot and try. Next, reset the modem. If it has a reset
button, use it. If not, unplug the power cord. Wait 15 seconds and plug it
back in. Make sure all the lights come back on.

If still no joy:
