Dynamic Connector
The Dynamic connector master is special in Visio, because it can be created
by a command, such as Connect.Shapes In other words, you do not have to drag the Dynamic connector from a stencil. However, you can edit the Dynamic connector master in your document - in the Local Document stencil - and ensure that the Master property "Match master by name" is ticked. You can save he document as a template, then every drawing started from the template will have your version of the Dynamic connector. "Lavanya Pandian" wrote in message ... Dynamic Connector
Adding to what David says, you will need to edit the line pattern of the
dynamic connector with a custom pattern. To do that check out the following sites: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ffice.10).aspx, and John Goldsmith's visLog: http://visualsignals.typepad.co.uk/v...ng-random.html. John has two entries on the subject, the end of the 2nd has some interesting spiral shapes provided by Visio Guy, Chris Roth. Dynamic Connector
I edited the dynamic connector to look like a thick arrow with no fill. But
when i use this new connector, it does not behave like the default connector (it does not bend as right angle connector). how do i fix this? Also, how do i restore to default connector? Dynamic Connector
How did you the dynamic connector?
Too get back to the default, there is no EASY button, , unfortunately. You need to open the Document Stencil (menu bar Shapes icon scroll to the bottom Show Document Stencil). Double click the dynamic connector, edit the line pattern and set it to solid. BTW, you can set the line weight at this point to, and it will be the default line weight for this document. These changes (plus any edits you've done) only apply to the presently open document. Wapperdude "Lavanya Pandian" wrote: I edited the dynamic connector to look like a thick arrow with no fill.
