Default Inserting images

When creating a document, I insert an image, complete the document then save
the file. When I open the file later, the image that I inserted now has
border lines. Has anyone else had this problem. The only way I can fix it
is to delete the image and reinsert it.

Default Inserting images

With the picture selected so that the Picture Tools Format tab of the ribbon
appears, click on the Compress Pictures item in the Adjust section of the
ribbon and click on the Options button and uncheck the "Automatically
perform basic compression on save" box.

It that does not work, then you may have to resort to saving the document in
Word 97-2003 format.
