Next slide selection from a hidden slide...
Hi, I have built an awsome .ppt RESUME, with history, information, goals and
some personality and placed into ".pps" format. Within the show I have placed a few slides only accessable by hyperlink. What I would like to do is direct the next slide selection to the previous slide and the viewer can then continue with the show. Example: The person viewing is on slide 6, there is a hyperlink to slide 16, (a hidden slide) after viewing the hidden slide, the viewer "clicks" again and goes to slide 6 and then on to slide 7 and so on. As it is now, if the viewer were to click slide 16 it goes directly to the last slide in the show. How can this be done? Thank you for any help you can give. |

Next slide selection from a hidden slide...
Thad,
If I understood correctly you want to return to the last viewed slide after hyperlinking to another one. If that is the case, you can use an action button which links to the last viewed slide. Slide Show - action buttons - choose one and drag the button in an appropriate spot on your slide, choose last viewed slide in the hyperlink to list. If I misunderstood, no sweat someone else will help out. -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "Thad" schreef in bericht ... The easiest solution would be to place the horse before the cart, or
something like that. Just change the way you are thinking a bit Example A, B, C, D (hidden), E You are linking from your slide C to the hidden slide D and want it to return to C, correct? Why not just change it to ... A, B, D (hidden), C, E ? The hyperlink on Slide C takes you to the hidden slide (D) in front of C. This way you will advance normally back to C. This method will only work if each of the hidden slides only has a single referencing slide link. You may also want to change the order of the slides for any printouts. -- Bill Dilworth A proud member of the Microsoft PPT MVP Team Users helping fellow users. http://billdilworth.mvps.org -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ vestprog2@ Please read the PowerPoint FAQ pages. yahoo. Here's another possibility in addition to the excellent suggestions you
have already received. Put the hidden slide in a custom show. Then link to the custom show with the "Show and Return" box checked. I believe this will have the effect you want without even needing a button on the hidden slide. --David -- David M.
