Blank page prints with every print job
Whenever I print any type of job in MS Publisher 2002, my printer always
prints a blank sheet first. It doesn't matter if it is one page document or multiple page document. Is there some sort of print/page setup that controls this? I don't want a blank page before every print job. Note that this does this on one particular printer, not all, and it only does it for a Publisher document and no others. Thanks |

Sounds like a printer setting. Look on your settings and see if you can find
it. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Glenn" wrote in message ... I think it was called a passthrough connection. -- John Inzer MS-MVP Digital Media Experience Notice This is not tech support I am a volunteer Solutions that work for me may not work for you Proceed at your own risk |

Thanks for all the inputs. I will take a look at the printer settings
again...maybe I missed something. But remember, this behavior only occurs with Publisher. All other docs types (excel, word, etc.) print without the blank page. The blank page also contains the crop marks on the page which leads me to believe it's a Publisher issue. I have run into the same issue here at work. I believe one of the big things
is the margin settings. Now we have documents that were having this issue and the quick resolve under the "Printing Preferences" then the "Effects" tab there is an Resizing option. Select the "Print Document On" and default should be letter or select the proper size you plan on using and make sure the box is ticked for "Scale to Fit". Another thing under the same screen to keep an eye on depending on the printer right under that may be an option to "Emulate LaserJet Margins" which is another that resolved the issue I had been running into on a OfficeJet printer. I hope this helps. "Glenn" wrote: Thanks for all the inputs. I will take a look at the printer settings again...maybe I missed something. But remember, this behavior only occurs with Publisher. Goyra,
Thanks for this info. I won't be at this particular printer/computer until Sunday. I will try your suggestions. I've been just living with it so far.
