view schedules: show both out of town & various appts in one day
My boss travels to other locations often and is 'out of town'. He also
schedules meetings in those other locations. How can I see both conditions when I view his schedule? It appears that the calendar will only show one action. Either out of town all day or busy for various appts. Is there a way to indicate both? Thank you.

outlook doesn't offer an 'out but available' option - use tentative to show

Thank you. So you are saying that if HE sets his calendar for 'TENTATIVE /
all day', that should do it, right? Then as he makes appts for himself he'll still have the time blocked, but we can see that all that other time is tentative when viewing his calendar. I'm going to test this. I bet that works. Correct. I would also mark the subject informative - i.e., "Available for

Hi Diane,
This doesn't seem to work for me anymore. I can't see more than one availablity status on my boss' calendar. I'm trying to see when my boss is out of town, still allowing him to book his own meetings etc while out of town. I need to be able to distinguish when he is in town from busy appointments. In June, you helped me with a work around. Now, it doesn't seem to work. I can only see one status --- either busy or tentative (that was the work around for when he was out of town).
