Default Shared Calendars displaying incorrect information

Our COO and his secretary share his calendar. She has noticed a lot of odd
things going on for quite awhile now. He was once on 2007 and she was on
2003 and we thought that was the problem and put him back on 2003, however,
his calendar still keeps changing items. Here is what it does:

There are meetings falling off and duplicate meetings and even a couple of
meetings that changed times. The recurring meetings that his secretary
deleted and re-entered to end at the end of the calendar year have
reappeared, but the COO deleted some of them as he noticed them. Not sure if
he deleted the one that reappeared or the new ones that she entered so she
can't delete either and feel like nothing will be lost.

Any suggestions or solutions?

is the coo syncing with a handheld device? that will cause at least some of
the things you are reporting.

Yes, he did have a Treo but I think it may be an iphone now, but I'm not
positive. It does seem that there are more problems when he has been out of
the office.

What problems specifically will this cause so that we can prove to him that
is the cause? Thank you! We've searched for some sort of answer for a long
time.

Would having the COO use 2007 and his secretary on 2003 cause problems with
calendar sharing as well?

mixed versions causes some issues, but syncing is worse. Make sure you have
the exchange server and outlook fully updated - there have been some fixes
released that address these problems.

also, did you check the calendar in table view?

Delayed response, but we've been applying the patch and testing for awhile.
Patch was applied, but the problem is still occurring. No, the items do not
show up in the category view.

Another example from the other day, his administrative assistant blocked off
half an hour for travel time on his calendar, then the meeting, then blocked
off another half hour for travel back to the office. When the COO went to
make an appointment, the meeting wasn't there, but both travel times were
still blocked off. He made another appointment not knowing there had been
one in it's place, now being double booked.

He has his assistant set up as owner. We are really confused by all of this
and can't find any reason why they are the only ones having problems. We've
sat with her and she sets up meetings correctly.

Any other ideas?? Thanks for all your help so far!

if they aren't showing up in category view the cause is likely something
else. Can he stop syncing for a few days to see if the problems stop? I
believe it is related to syncing - have him disable two way sync to see if
the problems stop.
