Changing background color doesn't take affect
I have recently upgraded from 2003 to 2007. Now the calendar background is
always white no matter what I set in options - calendar options - default color. There is no different on working time and not working time. Anyone who have an idea why I have this behavior and how I can change the background color? (When I change the only thing that happens is that the color is changed in the box immediately under the date.) One thing that also is strange is that I only get lines (vertical) on full hours no matter of the value for the time scale. |

what times and dates are set for the working hours?
which view are you using? I'm not sure I understand which box under which date is affected - unless you are in week or day view and mean the all day event area. I'm not sure what you mean by the vertical lines. Can you post a screenshot to help us understand? If you need a place, xsolive.com has a screenshot library you can use. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "Donald" wrote in message ... Changing background color doesn't take affect
Hi Diane,
I posted a screenshot on xsolive named calendarbackgroundcolor.jpg. My working days are set to 8 AM to 5 PM for Monday to Friday. My week starts with Monday. I use day or week view. It doesn't matter which I use, I got the same behavior. The vertical lines I'm talking about is for half hours. If I mark I will get a box for half hours but as you can see in the screenshot it is a box covering full hour. The box that changes are the one between the date and the time schedule. Also the line between the days will change. But I'm looking for an easy way to see when there is working time and not. Best regards //donald "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: what times and dates are set for the working hours? which view are you using? It all looks normal to me - the color is for the non-working time and the
calendar name in the navigation pane. The "pot handle" on an appointment is because it needs more space for the text - the lines are probably for Show time as - that changed from older versions to Outlook 2007. (I don't see an example in your screenshot to know for sure.) In http://www.xsolive.com/Outlook%20Scr...orm.aspx?ID=80 - the orange ones are half hour long, there are two gray ones with time marked as free that are also a half hour long. In the screenshot where Epiphany is, is the all day event section. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "Donald" wrote in message ... Changing background color doesn't take affect
Embarrassing to say this but it is all my mistake and of course nothing wrong
with outlook. My settings for the screen was the reason for not seeing the difference between working time and not. I open a colleague’s screenshot on my screen and got the same strange behavior. Then when I opened my outlook on another screen it worked fine and also when looking on my screenshot on xsolive on another screen it looks fine. The confusing part was that I could see the difference between working time and not on the same screen when I used outlook 2003. Sorry for taking up your time and thanks for your help.
