Have you uninstalled any trial Office software that may have been installed
when you restored the computer to as purchased state? If not this could be
your problem.

If not list any error messages you receive.
List the version of Office you are attempting to install.
List the Operating System and service pack that is currently installed.

For OS & Service Pack. XP, right click My computer and left click
properties, Vista Open Control Panel and click System for the same
information.

Disregard previous about Office version (didn't remember to look at the
header before hitting the send button.)

Have you updated your operating system to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2
(Office '07 requires XP SP2, Win 2003 Server or later to function)? If not
the installation won't happen.
