Default Chart with tow link feilds

Good Day everybody,

I have a small problem regarding chart in report. I need to link a chart to
my report with tow fields (Branch_Code and Sex_Code). MS Access allows me to
link with only one field. The problem is that when I preview my reports it
mix tow different records of data in one chart. How I can fix this problem
please???

There should be no problem linking with almost any number of fields. You can
simply type in your field names with a semi colon between them.

Default Chart with tow link feilds

Thanks for your response, but the problem is that when I display reports,
other feilds which I am using to link the chart, will apear in the chart
For example, when I link the chart with tow feilds: Branch_Code and
Sex_Code. First column in the chart will show sex code and then it will show
real data???

How I can let other feilds disapear???

Thanks

I don't believe you need to display the fields. IIRC the fields only need to
be in the source query of the chart.

I just set up a test pie chart in a report that has two link master/child
fields. Neither or these fields are displayed in the chart. The linking
fields are in the charts Row Source query but are not selected. The chart is
somewhat like a subreport that links on two fields. The two fields must be
in the Record Source of the subreport but you don't need to display them.

It doesn't make any difference if the chart is pie or column. I have created
an example for you and posted it at http://www.access.hookom.net/Samples.htm
