Default Margins and boarders

I'm using word in office Xp. When I apply a border to my
simple one page document using the format box - boarders
and shading, the bottom part of the boarder remains
outside the printable area. How can I adjust this so the
whole border is printed. I've tried adjusting the margin
but this does not seem to change anything.

Thanks for any help.
