Using text as chapter in sectioned document
I need to include text in conjunction with a page number
in the footers of my documents; text that shows up in a Table of Contents along with the page number. Basically, the "TEXT" is the chapter for a document section (of which there are many sections). I cannot seem to make this work. Any help would be appreciated. For example: page 1 of the section that covers a HOW-TO on Adobe Acrobat Reader would have a footer like... "8/27/2004 ACRORD - 1" The TOC would read as such: "Adobe Acrobat Reader (Sol) (V3.0.0.1/3.0:10/08/97) (ACRORD)..............................ACRORD-1" I get all except the chapter [ACRORD], as it is text and Microsoft Word (2002) seems to only want numbers. TOCs and footers are supposed to make your documents EASIER to use, not
render them unintelligible. "Stephen Haynes" wrote in message ... Thanks for the feedback. I agree, but I am not in control
of the actual formatting requirements. Now, do you or anyone else here have any suggestions?
