Printing in Publisher 2007
I'm trying to print a 20 page booklet in Publisher 2007. it will only print
pages 1-6 and 15-20 even if I manually enter the page numbers under "Print range" and then 1,20,3,18...ect. I never had any problems in Pub. 2000. Any ideas/ |

Are you trying to print a small booklet, two booklets per sheet? If not,
printing the booklet will be straightforward. The least confusing way is to print all 20 pages, re-stack, turn the stack over and print all 20 pages again. You will have two booklets. If you are printing a small booklet, cut the page in half first, setup a custom size in your printer for 8.5 x 5.5. This will be simplified in the next service pack I hope. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "tygers37" wrote in message ... Yes, I'm trying to print a small booklet, two booklets per sheet.
If I change the printer to a custom size it does at least attempt to print all 20 pages but it prints them in the middle of the page, not side by side so that the sheets can be stacked up and folded to form the booklet. Is there some other setting I'm missing? I sure miss Pub. 2000! "Mary Sauer" wrote: Are you trying to print a small booklet, two booklets per sheet? No, you aren't missing anything. As I wrote in the previous post, setup a custom
size in your printer, cut your stock first then print. You must also setup your page for the custom size. Best place to do this in in the advanced setup on the right. Type 4.25 width, 5.5 height. You should have the correct print preview if you have created a custom size 8.5 x 5.5 in your printer. If you still have 2000 you can install it into its own folder. I have most all the Publisher versions on my computer. (Vista) -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "tygers37" wrote in message ... Yes, I'm trying to print a small booklet, two booklets per sheet. Thanks. It works now. The printer set was set for "One Page per Sheet". When
I changed it to "Booklet, side-fold" it worked fine. Sure hope they get some of these printer issues fixed soon. Thanks again for your help!!! "Mary Sauer" wrote: No, you aren't missing anything. Doesn't sound like a printer issue - sounds like pilot error.

Printing in Publisher 2007
Rob,
I hope you can help me with my Publisher 2007 printing problem. In Publisher 03, when I went to print, the page range included the total pages in the publication. Furthermore, once a range was printed, it remembered that range. Now, with the 07 version, there is not a page total next to all pages and there is never the page range from the previous print job to go by. What happened?? Is this feature excluded in Publisher 07, or did our tech support miss something when installing this upgrade? If this is a Publisher issue, is there a fix for it now... or upcoming? Since I work with training manuals put together in sections, the missing page range features are truly missed! I can't seem to find any information on this, and tech support has not a clue. Any help or info you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Marguerite "Rob Giordano [MS MVP]" wrote: Doesn't sound like a printer issue - sounds like pilot error. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Giordano Microsoft MVP Expression "tygers37" wrote in message ... The entire print was changed from what we were use to seeing. Your tech support
didn't miss something. Some printing issues were addressed in the second service pack but not the print setup screen. The most difficult print task in my opinion is separate booklet pages. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Maggie" wrote in message ...
