Default Saving E-mails When Reinstalling Office 2007

Hi:

I need to reinstall Office 2007 on my computer. Is there a way to save my
E-mails and My Favorites before uninstalling the software, so that I can
bring them back into Word 2007 when the new installation is completed?

Thanks.

Jim

You should make a backup of the PST file periodically so as not to lose
important information in the event of a hard drive crash or malware
infestation. As to the Office installation , just simply install it. No
problem. Bigger question, why are you UNinstalling it?

I'm uninstalling the software because I'm getting the message that the
software will be marked "not genuine" in 9 days, and I've got new, genuine MS
software on its way to me right now.

Once the new software is installed, how do I bring the saved PST file into
Word?

Thanks.

Jim

Just UNinstall the old and then install the new. The PST file will stay
in the right place. Also Outlook is the application that uses the PST
for storing your e-mail, contacts etc, Word is for documents.

Bob:

Are you saying that when I open Word 2007 after I've installed the genuine
version of Office 2007, that the E-mails I previously had in Word 2007 will
all be in Word 2007 just as they are for me right now when I open the program
for the first time?

Bob I,

I've just seen this thread and it interests me: are you saying that you can
uninstall Office and then reinstall it and it will automatically find your
emails? If not, how would you instruct it to find the PST file? Would this
work for Office 2003 after a trial period of Office 2007?

Again, Microsoft Outlook is for e-mail. You will need to open Outlook to
read e-mail. In earlier versions of Office, Word could be used as the
editor for Outlook, but Outlook is what is used for e-mail. You would
not have had e-mails in Word.

The e-mail messages are stored in the PST file. It should not move.

You are a jobless idiot who no one wants to hire. You are a scrounger
and we the taxpayers have to finance your drug habits.

Go and get a job boy and get some respect in our wonderful society.
