How can I eliminate pilcrow signs and dots between words?
All of a sudden I have a whole bunch of pilcrow signs (paragraph signs) all
over my documents. When I open a new document there is a ps there waiting for me. There is also a dot between each word. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Word, to no avail

Or, equivalently, press Ctrl+Shift+8. See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Format...PrintChars.htm for information.
