I asked in a previous thread whether we can there was specific help
information about the behaviour of each shape. There are bubbles that show up when I hover the pointer above each shape, with brief description and a "more..." link. Would this be all the help for a specific shape? |

I can't find your original thread at the moment. What you are seeing there is a short message attached to each shape within the stencil so as you hover the mouse over a stencil shape it shows something like the shape name the ""Drag the shape onto the drawing page" with maybe extra instructions added to that or some totally different instructions. That is called the "Prompt" within the the stencil master. For some shape there may be a "More..." link to help about shapes within the help file. When the shape has been dropped on a page then that text is no longer visible and a different item of text is shown when hovvering over the shape. Is there any particular shape with which you need help? -- Regards, Paul Herber, Sandrila Ltd. http://www.electronics-packages.sandrila.co.uk/ |

I see different handles on shapes, and can't quite remember their purpose, so I was hoping that the developer off those shapes had a conveninent way (or any way) of documenting them for the user. |

Well, that's the problem you see, most of the "handles" are generic and have standard uses within Visio, resizing, moving, rotating, then there are control handles for moving text, vertices, other geometry points ... Then there are connection points and glue points, insertion points, selection handles .... -- Regards, Paul Herber, Sandrila Ltd. http://www.electronics-packages.sandrila.co.uk/ |
