Default *.ecf add-in files missing or not functioning corrctly

I run Outlook 2002 and recently reinstalled. Now when I load I get an error
message regarding several *.ecf files. The message advises that 'Detect and
Repair' will fix the error, but it doesn't.

Any idea on how I can rectify these files (I've deleted and reinstalled to
no avail).

Do I need to have Outlook Express on my system to run Oulook 2002?

Regards

OL2000: Error Message in Extension Configuration File (ECF) Starting Outlook

As to Outlook Express, yes, you need to have it installed in order for
Outlook 2002 to run correctly. Outlook uses several files supplied by OE
and won't run correctly without them.
