Linked Graphs

I have a workbook which contains several worksheets which are used to
calculate information for a report. The report pages are the first couple of
worksheets formatted and which contain graphs linked to data on other
worksheets within the workbook. I wish to make a stand alone version of my
report, capable of being Emailed.

I can copy the report pages to a new workbook, and then replace the formulas
with values without issue. I can then delete all the names thus removing
more references to the source workbook - however now my problems arises.

The graphs which copy across and look the same, are still linked to the old
source worksheets. If I copy the worksheets the data in on to the new
workbook, the graphs are still liked to the old source workbook worksheet.

When I Email the report is spoilt if the user updates links in error. I am
thinking there must be a way to copy graphs and have their data changed to
values rather than formulas.

Paul -

If you can reconfigure your set up so you only copy one sheet to the
other workbook, and that sheet contains data and chart, the chart will
reference the data on its parent worksheet, not the original.

If you need to keep chart and source data on separate sheets, move them
(not copy). The chart will reference the sheets in the new workbook,
because they are the original sheets that got moved. Then close the
original workbook without saving. When you reopen it, the original
sheets will be there, but the moved chart won't know that.
