Default Dashed boxes in org chart

Org charts seem quite restrictive in terms of drawing. This sort of
makes sense, since there are only certain things you want in an org
chart. However, I’d like to make some of the boxes dashed. In both
Visio 2000 and Visio 2003, the org chart seems to ignore any attempts
to Format-Line for dashed outlines. Is it a simple thing to get
dashed outlines for the boxes in an org chart?

The line format of Visio 2000 org chart boxes are protected with a
guarded formula, Visio 2003 has removed the guard so the line
formatting should work. It does here.
Are you moving the files backwards and forwards between Visio 2000 and
2003? That might explain some of the anomolies you seem to be finding.

Fiddlesticks!

No, I was only doing that as a test. I also found that pasting the
mussed up org chart into a new file unmusses it. It must be a file
setting.
