Hi Russ:

Thanks for your time. Now I fully understand the autofill cache vs. the
address book.

I'm getting what your saying about the address book view with relation to
the contacts but when I look at the email of one of the contacts in question
I can't see any reason the electronic address would NOT be resolved. I don't
have any other folders but one "Personal Folders" for all contacts so as best
I can tell there is no reason why "M. Lami" wouldn't be in the address book
view with most other contacts. It's perplexing to me.

If you have time to view the video of me trying to access certain emails
from the address book view that would give you all the information you need
to assist me further.

Why is your "Address Book" field set to "Outlook Address Book" when you open
or search the Outlook Address Book? You never use that setting. You must set
that field to the Contacts Folder you want to display. If you were
configured correctly, the Outlook Address Book display should be completely
empty. It is merely the shell for your Contact Folders. There is far more to
your story than you have told. You are using the Outlook Address Book
interface for far more than it was intended. All Contact data manipulation
and all searching should be done in Contacts Folders, not the address book
view.

Hi Russ:

I haven't customized anything with regard to the outlook address book. So
if its wrong that's the way it was installed unwittingly. How do I fix it,
google provides no help nor do the key words I'm using for the forum provide
steps after Jan 2007. I know the duplicate posts are annoying but I created
a post titled: "how to set the address book to the contacts folder vs.
outlook address book"

It's pretty simple, and has been posted here many times. You set which
folder to display in Tools Options of the Address Book view.

Russ:

OK I've been there a gazillion times but this is all I have to choose from:

Show this address book first
~ Outlook address book
Accounts
Business contacts
Outlook Address book
~ Keep personal addresses in
Accounts
Business contacts
Outlook Address book

~ Add address list
Outlook Address book
Accounts
Business contacts
Outlook Address book

I've tried every options and combination before ever persuing help on this
discussion board and I see no "contacts" option and never have until your
latest post of even cluing me in that there was one. If you would like a
video I will make and send you one.

I don't need a video. I just need plain, straightforward information, which
you keep leaving out. State how your profile is configured. Are you using
Business Contacts Manager instead of Outlook?

Hi Russ:

Thanks for helping! I'm not sure how to be more plain than the info I gave
you below or in my latest post. You told me that I have Outlook 2007
configured wrong when I have done anything to configure it its just as I
installed it. Plus I don't see what your referring to in Address book view,
tools, options I see what I posted below which is not what you said should be
there. I feel like I'm going in circles, I consider myself computer savvy
and all conspicuous options are not working.

Hi Russ:

I have not even started using business contact manager, I just installed it
for future use if I use it all as my primary CRM is Maximizer 9 which has a
feature that sends and receives desired contacts to outlook.

You've changed the entire landscape by installing BCM. You'll need to ask in
a BCM group. Your dialogs in the address book view are beyond recognition
for Outlook users like me. We would have no idea how to troubleshoot your
issues.

Ok so if there is no address book and its just a view of contacts how
come the address book doesn't have contacts in there that are in
contacts and on autofill?

Because your autocompletion cache is just a record of the addresses you've
entered as recipient addresses and does not access your Contacts in any way
whatsoever. See this: http://www.ingressor.com/autocompletetips.htm
