Index file 2008
I have a web site that was developed in Publisher 2003 and I just made
several design changes. After saving the file and attempting to "Publish to the Web", as I have done many times before, the transfer continues to fail. Actually, it doesn't even get started: it appears as though the previous index file has not been overwritten and the FTP process hangs up. Everything was fine less than two weeks ago and the only thing that's significantly different is a NEW YEAR. Does anyone know of a problem that year-2008 might be causing? Thanks! |

If you "updated" to IE7 that could explain your problem. You can either
uninstall IE7 via add and remove, and roll back to IE6, or reference: Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web site: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pu...947601033.aspx It is written for Pub 2007, but if you are using IE7 instead of IE6, then the directions for using Vista would apply. FTP uploading has changed with the introduction of IE7. Or better yet, consider downloading and installing the free FTP client FileZilla: http://filezilla-project.org/ It is likely to be easier for you in the long run. Take the time to also download the excellent documentation and read it. If you have follow up questions, please post web related questions to: microsoft.public.publisher.webdesign DavidF "Lily" wrote in message ...
