Visio 2003 installation issue
I just recently installed Office 2003 on my XP Pro machine together with
Visio 2003. when I try to start Visio I get an hourglass cursor for a little while and then nothing else happens. If I try again I get a message box asking if I want to start in safe mode. Regardless if I check yes or no Visio does not start. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled and it is just the same. Can someone advise please, Sid. -- Sid Price's Software Tools. http://www.Softtools.com |

Visio 2003 installation issue
Hi Sid,
Some suggestions for you: 1. Uninstall Office 2003 and XP(if it is on your machine) from Add/Remove Programs. 2. Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...8-80E8-983A48D 5E1BD/msicuu2.exe 3. Run the utility and remove the Office(XP and 2003) entry from the list. 4. Reinstall Office 2003 and re-apply the latest update for it. For more information about the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, please refer to the following KB article: 290301 Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290301 Hope it helps.
