Reply Without History
This is a cross post from the "new users" newsgroup and I'm hoping someone in either newsgroup can help.
Just got Outlook 2003 at work and would like to know if there is an option to "reply without history" on a case-by-case basis? I currently have the e-mail program set to "reply with history" and then I delete the history if I don't want it included in the e-mail, which is usually the case. This will get tedious. What I'd like to do is have the option to include the history in my reply when I create the reply. But the e-mail preference of Outlook 2003 provides only an "either or" preference of including the history or don't include the history. |

Reply Without History
Not sure what you mean, but I think you are talking about "Include message in Reply" so here's the answer: in Outlook, go to Tools, Options, Preferences, Email options button, and change it under Replies and Forwards. However, this is not a good idea in business settings. When I receive a reply without the original message, it sometimes is not clear what the heck the writer is replying to, especially when I receive dozens of messages. It's best to leave it alone and when necessary, manually highlight and delete any old parts of the message after you press Reply to.
