Copy and paste - please help
Hi,
About 7 days ago I posted a question to the group but have had no reply. Just wondering if I have addressed it to the wrong group. If so, which group should I address the below question to ? My question goes like: ------------------------ I am having a problem copying and paste graphics into Word 2002 with Service Pack 3. Trying to copy from Outlook Express into Word is no problems, but when any graphics are in the mail message, this is not pasted to the Word document. I have tried several options, but nothing works. Ideally, I would like to be able to open any Outlook Express eml-messages using Word, but unless the eml-message is in html-format, I get a "This is Not a valid Web Archive" error. Thank you for your help and support, Kind regards, |

Try saving your e-mail message as an RTF file instead.

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it is not possible to save an Outlook Express message as RTF-file (unless it is composed as html). Ordinary Outlook Express messages can only be saved as Mail (*.eml) , Text (*.txt) or Unicode Text File (*.txt) and none of them are able to carry pictures. I would think that there must be some kind of utility program or a way to convert ordinary Outlook Express messages to Word documents. Trying to open an *.eml messages in word, and I receive a "This is not a valid web archive" error. Googling this error shows numerous pages, but no answer. A plain copy and paste from Outlook Express in to Word is fine, as long as no images are in the messages. Why I can't paste images into Word has me baffled. Kind regards --------------------------------------- "Bob I" wrote: Try saving your e-mail message as an RTF file instead. I don't play with Outlook Express, and it's not part of Office, so this
is just a guess. Change the format to HTML and then you should be able to do it. That is what "Word" is complaining about. Otherwise start using Outlook instead of O.E. as your e-mail client. Hi,
Thanks for your reply - not really possible when mail is received as plain text. However, I will direct my question to Outlook Express forum. Thanks for your help.
