word/excel 2003. Cursor jumps all over place, text deleted,
Have just reloaded Office to a new computer. When typing in Word or Excel,
the cursor will jump all over the document or to other cells. Random things happen like deleting blocks of text I have just typed, highlighting blocks of cells in excel. If typing an email, the cursor will jump to the middle of the text in the subject line. Have tried a couple of things but am at a loss as to how to fix it. |

Is the new computer a notebook with a touch-pad mouse device? If so, it is
probable that you are inadvertently making use of it. There is usually a way of reducing its sensitivity which may overcome the issue. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Thanks so much for that - realised I'm at a lower desk and the new laptop's
touch pad is not recessed like the old one was. Will have to remember my old piano hand positions. "Doug Robbins - Word MVP" wrote: Is the new computer a notebook with a touch-pad mouse device?
