I used the Microsoft Office Language Pack 2007 - Swedish, ran the
installation, did custom setup and disabled everything except proofing
tools for Swedish.

After finishing the installation, when you go into word options this is
what happens (see attached file). How the hell did Swedish get mixed
into the GUI?

Why the hell is this happening and how do you install/add the spelling
and grammar check for Swedish on English Office 2007 as I could not
find the answer anywhere and Microsoft charge for supporting a very
'user friendly' application? Nothing complicated, one PC and two pieces
of software that are supposed to be compatible.

Thanks.

If I understand your problem, all u want is to be able to type in English or
Swedish in Office applications.
To do that go to start all progs MS Office Office tools MS Office
2007 Language settings
Enable Swedish.

Thanks Srikanth,

Are you saying that the Swedish spelling check and dictionary are
already included in US Office 2007 and that there is no need to add
anything from the Microsoft Office Language Pack 2007 - Swedish?

Thanks and Happy New Year everyone.

Did you find a real solution to the problem?

Is there way to install a Swedish dictionary in an English Office 2007
WITHOUT changing the user interface to Swedish?

Seems incredible that this should be so hard. And yes, I have Swedish
enabled in

"start all progs MS Office Office tools MS Office 2007 Language
settings"

It says it's enabled, but it finds no errors when typing (of course),
since no Swedish dictionary is actually installed.
English spell-checking works just fine though (also, of course).

I also have the Swedish MUI for Office 2007, and I failed in the exact
same way McZeb did.

Did you find a solution?

Thanks alot!

@jagomai

Try this

http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX112984

The spelling check now works, however, the language settings tool still
shows 'limited support' for swedish.

This is what my config.xml looks like:

Hi lepicane,

The (limited support) ID in the language setting tool for Office is often that the matching language support files for Windows are
not installed. Check the Regional settings for Language support in the Windows Control panel.
