Recovering CD key
I purchased office pro 2003 from a website which emailed me a key and allowed
me to download a cd image. i chose not to as i had installed the trial version of office 2003 and only needed to enter the cd key. i've used it fine for a year, and have recently reinstalled windows. i then struck a problem, the cd key i need is in an outlook pst file, but to read it i need the key to install office. i thought i was being clever, and reinstalled office from the trial cd, using the key that came with it. except the trial version does not allow me to import my pst files to access the required email, and now that i have looked on these newsgroups the useful sounding jellybean tool does not work as it simply gives me the cd key for the trial version. i have also tried accessing order history from the website, but i cannot remember which email address i used, having tried all of them it will not let me in... any suggestions much appreciated! |

Recovering CD key
Let me guess... you paid about $50 for the key and CD image
download? If yes, then you purchased a pirated copy of Office. If you don't have an MSDN subscription, then you cannot legally download a CD image of full version of Office 2003 from anywhere. Recovering CD key
The website I got it from is studentoptions.com, which I understood to be a
legitimate site selling discounted software to students. I am willing to stand corrected, and any further help is appreciated. Oh and I paid just under £70, which is about $120? Recovering CD key
You could have been cleverer had you bought it from Amazon for £93. It comes with CD key on the package itself. Recovering CD key
£70 is very cheap for Office 2003 Pro - although perhaps not so much so for
the student and teacher edition of Office Standard. I really don't know if your software is legal or not but, for that or any other reason, if you want to read a pst file you need Outlook - have any of your friends got a copy? -- Enjoy, Tony "ANONYMOUS" wrote in message ...
