Default svchost.exe application error at shutdown

When I shut down my system (XP UK version) the application error message appears:
The instruction 0x00071 referred at memmory 0x000000, the memory could not be read

This problem seems to have started some weeks ago directly after windows automatically update

After about 10 seconds the system shuts down normally.

What to do ???
