greek letter don't show up in wmf

Default greek letter don't show up in wmf

I have save my drawing as a wmf file, but the greek letter tau shows up as t.
What can I do to get around this?

You might try saving as emf, that seems to work OK.

I did that..and I still see the same problem. I have Visio 2003...is there
some setting i need to change?

Default greek letter don't show up in wmf

No setting that I'm aware of. How did you get your tau? I used the symbol
font. I did have trouble with the wmf format, but not emf; I am using V2003.

I also used symbols...i am adding this to picture to scientific workplace.
Emf and wmf look the same to me.

Which font do you have selected for that shape? The font used for
output to wmf files may not be the same as used for screen display,
hence if you have just used Roman characters and then used a Greek
font then the output to WMF may not work..
Choose a Unicode font if possible, Arial or Times Roman Unicode.

I have Times New Roman as the font. I used unicode and the Greek Letters from
that

I've just done a couple of tests and it appears that when saving as
..wmf then any unicode data gets ignored, however, if you use the .emf
format then it works, the Greek characters come out correctly.
Hopefully .emf is a viable alternative.
