Crashes randomly at launch
I know 2000 is barely compatible w/ Vista, but after countless hours
reading posts I have managed to get it "mostly" working. Remaining issue: When I first launch it typically crashes or comes up displaying Email pane, but w/ an empty Folder List pane (odd)?. After acknowledging the Vista 'crash' msg I try again several times and eventually it sticks and all is well. Why are the crashes at launch random? I thought computers were deterministic (it should crash every time or not at all). Thanks |

Do yourself a favour upgrade to at least 2003 or use a different mail client

Yes, it will, but at your first opportunity you should change its format to Unicode, if you decide to use a later version. http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ansi-to-unicode.asp Installing Outlook 2000 in Corporate/Workhgroup mode may ameliorate some of your problems. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
