Default Resizing Walls

The built in room shapes, "T" or "L", have walls that stay connected when one
wall is rezised. I have a more complex layout of exterior walls for my plant
that I would like to layout in Visio. However, after I get them laid out
using the exterior wall shapes, simply trying to resize one wall will
disconnect it from the previously adjoining walls. Can I connect these walls
so that as I drag a wall, the perpendicualr adjoining walls resize
automatically, like they do in the "L" room or "T" room shapes?
