Adding pages to a Publisher 2000 website.

(I'm not sure if 640x480 is a valid setting; my monitor has a range from 800x600 to 1600x1200 and have it set at 1152x864). It used to be the maximum possible resolution; it was very popular in Windows 3.1 and 95, but it is falling out of use in favour of 800x600 (which is still ridiculously small to my mind; I run at 1400x1050). 800x600 will, I believe, be unsupported in Windows Vista, with 1024x768 being the minimum resolution. -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher http://ed.mvps.org |

We kind of got on to the topic of horizontal scrolling.
Just a few days ago I was sharing with my paesani gumbas an Italian restaurant mama, daughter and I visited. I brought home a menu, scanned it and inserted the image into an e-mail and sent it out. Due to the small font on the menu I purposely created a large image. A day or two later I was getting mail asking where was the restaurant located. It was on the scanned image but required one to horizontal scroll to see it way over on the right. Seems my e-mail newbie buddies didn't know how to horizontal scroll. Welcome to the world of e-mail. ciao, don P.S. Rob, talking about Denicolas Restaurant, 3520 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR "JoAnn Paules [MVP]" wrote in message .. . If you make a page targeted at 480x640 users and I come and try to view it using my lovely 1400x1050 notebook display, I'll have anything but a pleasant visit. The site will be a thin bar down the left-hand side of my screen. Or if I'm really lucky, down the centre of my screen. -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher http://ed.mvps.org |
