Default 11x17 printed brochure looks different than what is on screen

New to Publisher. Am using a template from a vendor for a brochure that is
11x17. the paper is folded in half so it is a 4 page brochure. I get the
layout to look exactly as we want in Publisher but when I take to printer to
get printed out, it looks completely different... The text box that is
wrapped around a picture and fills an entire page, prints to only fill half
the page. The entire text is there but it looks like it changed the spacing
and squeezed it into a much smaller space.

When I try to increase the size of the text box, the text beneath it goes
into the overflow section because it is running out of room on the bottom of
the page. I know there is room on the page for all of the text because it
prints out with a lot of white/blank space. What am I doing wrong? How can
I get the version that I see in Publisher to look exactly like what is
printed out?

How are you taking it to the printer -- as a Pub file or PDF?

If as a Pub file, it may be a version issue between what you have and the
printer has or fonts that are being used. It would be better to convert to a
PDF first, than take (or e-mail) that to the printer. In theory, if you
convert to a PDF and it look correct on screen, it should look that way when
printed.

It would be helpful to know what version of Publisher are you using.

Thanks James! I was taking a pub file to the printer. I will try to take it
as a pdf file. I am using 2007 Publisher.
