Sum will appear in the Status bar if you enable it. And select random
cells by holding down CTRL key and clicking on them S1L1Y1 wrote: I have Office Xp. When using Excel is there a way to get a sum of only selected cells not in a sequence, and how can I selected those rows or cells? Sol |

For example your numbers are in cells: C1:C10. So in Cells B1:b10 enter 1 to indicate the selected cells you want for addition purposes. Then your formula in E11 might look something like this: =SUMIF(B1:B10,"=1",C1:C10) The above formula says that if cells in B1:B10 are equal to 1, then add all corresponding cells in C1:C10 hth |
