Default Access 2007 Application - Remote Access to SQL-Server in another c

Can an application built with Access-2007 read and update data that is stored
in SQL-Server in another city?

If this is possible, then where might I find more information on how to do
this?

Also, keep in mind another possbile soltuion is SharePoint, but then you not
using sql server anymore....
